But, as with any special plant, they do have a few quirks. Don't worry, though - caring for these rare gems isn't as intimidating as it seems. With a little know-how and the right foundation, you'll have them thriving in no time.

1. The Right Place: All About Light

Rare begonias are not fans of direct sunlight. In their natural habitat, they’re nestled under a lush canopy. Think bright but indirect light. Too much sun can cause scorching, so watch for any brown, crisp patches on those gorgeous leaves.

2. Hydration Hero: Mastering Humidity

Humidity is the secret sauce. Most of our begonias crave a humidity level of 80% or more. This is where terrariums really shine, creating a humid microclimate that mimics the tropics.

While begonias love moisture, they hate "wet feet." This is why your choice of substrate is the most important decision you'll make for your plant's longevity.
